As a Barclays Analyst BIM Operations Analyst, you will maintain accountability for the completion of the daily processes and controls of the middle office function for Barclays Investment Managers (BIM), the asset management arm of the Investment Bank. This will include ensuring the full execution and control framework as defined by the firm's control standards and IBMO control policies are adhered to and are operating effectively.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
• Providing trade support and life-cycle management for portfolios
• Overseeing trade matching, affirmations and confirmations against Counterparties
• Ensuring trade notifications are sent and received by administrators
• Ensuring timely settlement of trades and cash movements between counterparties
• Undertaking trade, position and cash reconciliations, investigating and resolving breaks as appropriate
• Performing collateral management, swap price capture and verification and monitoring of counterparty exposure
What we're looking for:
• Broad Trade support and settlements knowledge across various asset classes
• Broad knowledge of the trade lifecycle settlement process for Equities, Bonds & Derivatives
• Excellent communication both written and verbal skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and the ability to work under pressure to observe deadlines
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Broad knowledge of the Funds industry and role of custodians, fund accountants and transfer agents
• Proven OTC experience (Futures, Swaps, FX Forwards and/or IRS)
• Proven Advanced Excel to macro level
• Proven background of delivering process improvements within an Operations function
