Role Responsibilities
Job Summary
  • To support the overall management of the Bank's internal digital communications channels and delivery of timely and compelling content to engage and inform employees.
Responsibilities
  • Manage global internal communications channels and content delivery to support our business priorities and the People & Culture strategy.
  • Partner closely with Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing (CABM) communications teams and Story Lab (CABM's global content team) to select, source, or adapt content for deployment through internal digital channels that engages and informs employees and aligns with Group employee content priorities.
  • Support the rollout of a new global digital employee communication platform by engaging users and other stakeholders, monitoring its performance and delivering content to drive adoption and ensure effectiveness of the channel.
  • Manage an integrated cross-channel editorial plan to provide oversight on content volume, cadence, distribution and adherence to Group employee content priorities.
  • Support and advise Story Lab and other CABM communications teams on internal channels framework, governance and best practices.
  • Manage updates and enhancements to global internal communications landing pages and sites, including our internal homepage.
  • Lead the delivery of a bi-weekly global internal newsletter as managing editor, which includes making decisions around inclusion of global content and identifying opportunities to enhance the publication.
  • Manage governance model and standards to ensure content meets internal channel and Brand guidelines.
  • Ensure content is delivered to appropriate channels and audiences based on internal channels framework and strategic communications plans.
  • Support change initiatives to introduce new channel capabilities or make enhancements.
  • Lead a small team responsible for channel management and digital content delivery.
  • Measure the performance and effectiveness of communications content and identify areas for improvement.

  • Accountable to risk control owners and/or Group policy owners for the implementation of policies and control standards set by them, ensuring compliance, and operating within risk tolerance and risk appetite and building a culture of good conduct.
People & Talent
  • Lead a small team to support an internal communications channel strategy that is data-driven, modern, innovative and allows for employee engagement with creative and compelling content.
  • Manage workload and tasks to ensure capacity and that the team delivers on established objectives.
  • Build a team culture that values collaboration and cross-team ways of working-a team with members that connect dots and think horizontally rather than within the team's vertical.
  • Ensure team members have internal communications channels best practices knowledge.
  • Provide effective supervision to team members to mitigate any risks.
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from the team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
Risk Management
  • Identify, report and escalate issues, risks, business intelligence to leadership.
Governance
  • Ensure that tone of voice, messaging, and behaviours are aligned with the corporate narrative when we engage and communicate internally.

Other Responsibilities
  • Serve on People & Culture Communications and Corporate Affairs & Brand and CABM working groups and committees as needed.
  • Take on special assignments to support CABM priorities as needed.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 8+ years of professional communications experience, preferably in a financial institution or MNC.
  • A track record of developing and executing internal digital communications plans and producing compelling content that aligns with internal content priorities.
  • Understanding of internal content strategies and digital communications best practices.
  • Experience with creating content to support or enhance a strategy / narrative.
  • Experience with producing content in various digital formats for internal channels (blogs, infographics, videos, podcasts).
  • Understanding of intranet or web content management systems and communications measurement / analytics tools to develop insights.
  • Ability to think through desired outcomes of communications strategies and tactics and consult with content submitters about whether their content aligns with these outcomes.
  • Ability to identify potential reputation or culture risk from a function's strategies, programmes or communications, and to raise these concerns effectively.
  • Exceptional editing skills and editorial decisioning capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop effective and collaborative working relationships.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and third-party vendors, across multiple locations.
  • People management experience is a bonus.
