About our client

Our client is a UK focused mission led environmental impact investor. Working with some of the world's leading environmental organisations it is looking to protect and restore nature and combat climate change through the investments it makes. It already has significant capital under management and has plans to double its funds under management over the next few years. It's looking to hire an experienced Investment Director to co-lead an exciting new fund in the UK. This fund offers long-term career development opportunities in an exciting part of the impact investment eco-system. What the job involves

• Co-lead the fund, taking responsibility for the team, the associated portfolio, and relationships with all stakeholders
• Lead on all aspects of; sourcing new investment opportunities, evaluating and executing investments, portfolio management and achieving exits for the fund
• Specialise in environmental impact investments which will include investing in real assets, land, and the companies that support this eco-system
• Manage a growing team, nurturing team culture, recruiting new talent supporting the training and development of staff to further build skill sets and knowledge

Who we are looking for

• Previous investment experience in a Private Equity or Venture Capital fund is essential
• Proven experience across all aspects of the investment process with the ability to lead and source deals
• Additional experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or associated activities is desired
• A proven track record in managing teams
• Personable team player with the ability to create confidence and trust with colleagues and clients alike
• A demonstrable passion for Impact investing and the environment
