Architas have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager, Asset Management, for Irish subsidiary of Architas who will be in charge of accounting processes, management Information and will also be directly involved in the capital management of the subsidiary. The role is based in London.
The role holder will be Architas Designated Person for Finance in Ireland, subject to CBI approval.
What you'll be doing:
Finance - Run AMMEL accounting processes:
o MI - Accountable for reporting to Architas Manco, AMMEL Board and analysis of variances vs Budget
o MI - Accountable for planning activities (monthly forecasts, Strategic Planning), working with the different functions to define key assumptions.
o Invoicing - Accountable for invoices in respect of any fees charged by AMMEL, monitor/chase outstanding invoices, record in GL and reconcile with Budget (with the support of the Finance administrator)
o Follow up and deliver Accounts Payable project for a more controlled and a smoother expenses process.
o Ensure documentation of Transfer Pricing arrangements across Architas entities to comply with arms-length principle.
o Balance Sheet Reconciliations (with the support of the Finance administrator)
o Bank Accounts Reconciliations
o VAT returns
o Oversight of AMMEL statutory accounts produced by State Street
Capital Management and ICAAP :
o Lead financial element of ICAAP including operational risk quantification and stress test scenarios
o Monitor and report on AMMEL's capital adequacy
o Accountable for regulatory reporting
Required skills:
o Self-starter, and problem solver, who takes responsibility and with a drive for execution, aiming at quality and delivery to timescale and budget
o Outstanding ability to build trust and long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with AMMEL colleagues. This will require travelling to Dublin on a regular basis (indication is once a month).
o Excellent communication, relationship management skills
o Team player
o Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience of handling large volumes of data.
o Knowledge of Navision and SAP would be a plus
Experience and qualifications:
o At least 5 years' experience in asset management / investment oriented environment preferred
o Qualified Accountant
Strong understanding of financial accounting standards:
o Good understanding of operational business processes
o Good understanding of financial markets and products
