twentyAI are conducting a search for a Venture Capital Backed remote first EdTech scale up. They are looking for a Head of FP&A to drive their financial strategy.
This role will work closely with Sales, Marketing and Ops, reporting directly into the CEO. It will also play an important role in the execution of regular board of director meetings and manage the shareholder communication.
They want people who have had experience in financial management, FP&A and data analysis, as well as understanding the unique challenges related to their business model and industry.

Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage all operational financial aspects of the business, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis, focusing on key metrics such as revenue, ARR, TCV, CAC, LTV, churn, cash, cash tied up in liabilities, burn, zero-cash date, cash tied up in inventory, sales velocity, conversion rates, gross margin, working capital, and ROI of various initiatives.
- Monitor pipeline development, including split by ARR and one-off revenue, as well as renewal rates.
- Perform scenario analysis and stress testing related to financial planning to ensure the organization's financial stability and resilience.
- Support different functions in terms of reviewing their forecasts and plans, helping them build robust plans, assessing leading indicators, ensuring sturdiness, and holding them accountable, with the expectation that these leading indicators feed into the financial model.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity to support business operations and growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to provide financial insight, support pricing strategies, evaluate the financial impact of business decisions, and analyze customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and churn rate.
- Identify & address unique risks, challenges, and opportunities related the business model and the EdTech industry, such as predictability in sales and demand generation, CRM data quality, pricing, product offerings, and funding sources for schools.
- Explore and implement financing strategies to alleviate the cash required for hardware production, including inventory financing, debt financing, and establishing and maintaining relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
- Prepare for potential liquidity events, such as mergers, and/or acquisitions, by developing a strategic plan, leveraging networks, collaborating with investment bankers, and employing effective project management.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to the CEO, as and when relevant presented to the Board of Directors, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., ACA, CPA, CFA)
- 8+ years of experience in management consulting, financial management, with a proven track record in FP&A and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of the business model, the EdTech industry, and the ability to adapt to the unique challenges and opportunities they present.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial data.
- Experience in managing and mentoring a finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development
