Your Role and Impact

We have a superb opportunity for a Portfolio Manager to join our London or Munich-based ETF and Index Investments team. You'll be responsible for all aspects of index equity portfolio management, including the day-to-day portfolio management of our exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and index portfolios, risk and performance analysis and business process reengineering. We're looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and have the know-how to make it happen - both as Students of the Market as well as Students of Technology!

Your Responsibilities

The responsibilities our PMs are given include:
  • Daily management of our ETFs and index equity portfolios to ensure that corporate actions, index rebalances, and cash flows are correctly traded
  • Performance and risk management
  • Working with our Global Trading teams to navigate rebalances and other large-scale investment events
  • Helping to launch new portfolios and make changes to existing ones
  • Building our next generation investment platform and tactical desk-side investment tools
  • Working alongside our Product Strategy and Sales teams to help respond to client queries, while also participating in client reviews and new business pitches
  • Front-Office related Business Management and Outsourcing Controlling Oversight Activities based on regional regulatory requirements (Munich)
  • Contributing positively to our culture and supporting diversity, equity and inclusion

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock's hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week; some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. Beginning in September, all employees will shift to at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
