Data Analyst - L/S Equity Hedge Fund - London

We are a currently working with a leading hedge fund based in London who are looking for a talented data analyst to their dynamic team.

As a data analyst, you will be responsible for analysing complex financial data and helping make informed investment decisions. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with excellent mathematical skills and experience in programming and database management. You will need to be proficient in running queries and working with large sets of data.
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Analysing financial and alternative data
• Developing and maintaining databases to store and manage data
• Creating data visualizations and reports to help communicate insights to our investment team
• Conducting ad-hoc analysis to support investment decisions

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, or computer science
• Experience in programming languages such as Python or Java
• Knowledge of database management systems such as SQL
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
