I'm working with a London hedge fund who are hiring for a senior Java engineer with 10+ years of experience to work on an original and bespoke product.

Company

This company is one of London's most profitable hedge funds per capita and is constantly growing and building on their successes. They have c.100 employees and due to their smaller size, you will gain extensive exposure to all different parts of the trade lifecycle. You will also be given the opportunity to earn CFA qualifications and execute trades if desired.

They are based in London City.

Role

This a senior Java IC position where you will be building a bespoke product and implementing new critical components to the system. You will be able to work autonomously but also collaboratively alongside the other 7 engineers in the team, all who will have similar levels of seniority to the ideal candidate - this is a great opportunity to be part of a high-calibre team and engage with impressive individuals at the top of their field. This product will touch across 500 different markets and mainly focus on futures and swaps. You will have exposure to the entire SDLC, including the deployment of solutions through Docker.

Requirements
  • 10+ years commercial experience with Java.
  • Front office experience is a must have - preferably from a derivatives background.
  • Multithreading experience.
  • Strong STEM background.

Benefits
  • Up to £150,000 base salaries, with £250,000 total compensation available.
