Job Description
Our client a leading London based Investment Bank who are looking to expand their financila crime team and this is an exciting team to join

Reporting directly to the UK Deputy MLRO you will make a vital contribution to the design and management of the firms crime risk management framework!

The role offers an exciting opportunity to widen experience in all related business analysis activities including requirements gathering, requirement analysis, process mapping, operational improvement and alignment, creation of business requirement documents, creation of test scripts and test plans. You will engage with key collaborators including technology teams, conducting and supporting end-user testing and issue resolution.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
  • Take ownership and accountability of the Banks core Customer Risk Assessment tool, including understanding and educating all collaborators on Financial Crime systems and their associated methodologies and controls.
  • Work with SME's to interpret new regulatory and internal policies and how these will impact on Customer Risk Assessment methodology moving forward.
  • Be the focal point for all related change projects, including initiating change requests, working side by side with IT teams (internal & external), testing the changes and ensuring operational readiness prior to deployment.
  • Lead all aspects of system related incident management, following ongoing issues through to resolution and responding to general Financial Crime enquiries from across the Bank relating to Managed Systems.
  • Develop and run a suite of weekly and monthly MI required to manage activity across the system. Providing regular reports to the UK MLRO and other senior management on project updates.

This is a niche role, we are looking for someone who has previous experience in a financial crime role and practical experience with customer risk assessment models.

There are no specific qualifications or minimum educational requirements needed for this role.

The UK Financial Crime team is part of the UK Risk function and is a critically important function within the firm responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining a Financial Crime Risk management framework, policies, standards and processes in line with the firm across the UK business divisions.

We work to ensure Financial Crime risks, are identified, measured, mitigated, reported and handled efficiently and to an acceptable level.

The team operates as a 'second line of defence' within the three lines of defence model, setting common standards, tools and methodologies for management of Financial crime risks. We provide quality advice and guidance to the business.
