App Development Tech Lead

Within Citi the FXOptions Technology is focused on delivering IT solutions for the FX Derivatives business. We are looking for Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst to head the re-architecture within FX Options Trade Services team and who will also act as a functional domain expert.

This role requires very good understanding of FX Options domain and in particular Trade Services architecture and end to end processing within the application. It is a hands-on development role - and the candidate will be the lead architect for Options trade services and will guide the team to implement/rewrite the current architecture cutting edge technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new options products/regulatory requirements especially Consent Order related asks and process improvements
• Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
• Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint - New design/architecture should take care of the black duck related vulnerabilities and all GEM issues
• Utilize advanced knowledge of Options Trade Service system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
• Work closely with Traders, understand their pain points and try and improve the Trade services architecture accordingly
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Work closely with all other Options teams and look at work more holistically

Qualifications:

• Strong technical background in Java/JEE stack, Spring boot and Microservices, ECS, Kubernetes
• Excellent knowledge in Oracle database (SQL & PL SQL knowledge must)
• Very good understanding of Messaging Systems (Solace/Kafka/Tib EMS/JMS).
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Options trading related business flows
• In depth knowledge in how Trade Capture functions and various Risk and Finance flows that serve the downstream
• Excellent knowledge in regulatory reporting
• Options domain knowledge would be really beneficial
