The Role:

The Alternative Asset Operations team are responsible for the administration of a wide range of investments on behalf of both its internal and external clients. This role is supporting various Front Office desks with the settlement as well as overseeing the general overall product and administration of Private Assets.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this position are to work within a team which is responsible for the processing, instruction, settlement and on-going monitoring of Private Asset transactions.

The individual will be responsible for:
  • Instruction and settlement of Private Asset trades.
  • Monitoring income, repayments, break costs, Lender of Record, Commitment fees, Consent / Waiver Fees, ad hoc payments and advising internal / external parties of the amounts due.
  • Daily processing of rollovers, rate fixings, drawdowns and all aspects of the loans processing area within departmental guidelines.
  • Reviewing Loan Documentation, waterfalls, investor reports, processing the day-to-day activity within the Alternative Asset Operations department and within departmental guidelines.
  • Review and clearing of cash / stock / data breaks within designated timescales.
  • Respond to internal and external queries in a timely manner.
  • Reconciliation and reporting of internal systems to client, counterparty and TPA records.
  • Maintenance of internal Alternative Asset Operations systems and assisting in the further development of said systems.
  • Working closely with the Team Leader and Manager to provide on-going improvement of the daily functions.
  • Assisting in the completion of Audits both internal and external.
  • Updating of team procedures.
  • Daily liaisons with the Front Office to address and resolve problems with underlying assets.
  • Build relationships with agents, counterparts and the Front Office.
  • Assist Private Credit desks with credit and / or system issues.

Key Skills and Experience:

Essential
  • Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience within Private Asset Administration.
  • Payments knowledge (swift).
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • An effective team player.
  • An open and effective communication style.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills.
  • Excellent IT Skills of Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel.
  • The ability to work under pressure from both internal and external clients.
  • Must be able to "hit the ground running" in a high-pressured environment.
  • The ability and willingness to put in added time and effort during busy periods.
  • Ability and willingness to embrace change.

Desirable
  • Working Knowledge of WSO (Wall Street Office)
  • Working Knowledge of Aladdin
  • Basic Loan Documentation Knowledge.
