Job Background/context:
MONET team is responsible for the design and build-out (and ongoing support) of a global, multi-product, multi-entity operational margin system used to service our ICG business areas. Our system is built using state of the art design and technologies, runs 24 x 6, processes a billion+ transactions monthly, services 200+ users and interacts with 50+ systems in batch and real-time. We provide a variety of utilities (online, workflow, electronic, reporting) to facilitate a scalable and controlled operational environment for our clients.
  • Candidate will work independently and is highly self-motivated.
  • Applies skills and knowledge of the business to develop creative solutions to meet client and business needs
  • The candidate will work with complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs
  • Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Selenium based automation Scripts to automate manual functional scenarios.
  • Explore new automation tools or frameworks when needed.
  • Integrate automation framework with CI/CD pipeline.
  • Work on maintenance of existing automation scripts.
  • Should have good experience in writing SQL queries to extract test data or for results verification.
  • Engage with project stakeholders on a daily basis to help resolve issues and improve automation testing strategies.
  • Execute automation scripts during releases.
  • Enhance the existing automation framework to accommodate project level changes.
  • Foster a spirit of innovation and collaboration in regards to Testing.
  • Works closely with key stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements to automate test scripts.
  • Conducts traceability analyses to assess test coverage.
  • Works on complex testing assignments.
  • Identifies defects and recommends appropriate course of action; performs root cause analyses.
  • Oversee test execution initiatives, adhering to test schedule and key milestones. Evaluate and escalate potential risks and issues that may adversely affect quality or schedule.
  • Perform test execution and provide clear and concise testing progress reporting for key stakeholders.
  • Retests bug-fixes to ensure all issues are resolved before QA signoff.
  • Recommend and lead continuous improvement initiatives that will help mature the QA test program to improve team effectiveness and overall quality of the product.
  • Requires sound and comprehensive communication skills to exchange complex technical or functional information.
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Significant hands-on experience in Quality assurance.
  • Substantial hands-on experience in Selenium, TestNG and Cucumber.
  • Strong experience in automation scripting using Java.
  • Proficient with test management and defect tracking tools and associated reports, such as HP Quality Center and JIRA.
  • Basic knowledge on UNIX and shell scripting.
  • Basic understanding of financial market concepts.
  • Basic knowledge on Capital Markets Domain.
  • Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership and accountability.
  • Flexible, hands-on "doer", able to cope with changing requirements / time constraints.
  • Experience in working on multiple releases in parallel.
  • Knowledge of industry standard Testing tools.
  • Thorough knowledge of Testing lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Exposure to Performance Testing would be advantage.
