IT Security Engineer (Azure/Cloud) - Systematic Hedge Fund - Hybrid, London, UK

We are currently working with a multi-billion-dollar hedge fund seeking a skilled professional with expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud management, automation, and cyber security. You will play a crucial role within an expanding quantitative investment management company in maintaining the Microsoft Cloud Security Stack, implementing security improvements, and ensuring the stability of the network services.
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Maintain and improve Microsoft Cloud Security Slack including Sentinel and Defender suite
• Participate in incident response and resolution
• Manage storage systems, including Azure storage and SQL server
• Test and monitor BCDR solution and backups in real-time
• Research and propose security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
• Support senior management in answering technical client inquiries
• Maintain documentations of systems and policies
• Support the adoption of SOC-2

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Strong analytical background and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 security and Azure Identity and security (essential)
• Experience in IP Security Management and PowerShell (essential)
• Linux and Windows Administration skills
• Understanding of security management principles, procedures, and standards
• Experience in incident response, vulnerability management, and application security
• Financial industry experience preferred
