This specific role sits within our Global Platform and Data Services (PDS) Product Team which is part of our Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) function within our Institutional Client Group (ICG).
The Digital Onboarding Product team is responsible for developing & implementing a global digital strategy to support client onboarding across TTS business lines. The strategy includes the transformation of the operating and engagement model through delivery of self-service and digitized capabilities. We work in a cross functional model to facilitate a consistent experience across 90+ countries.
The digitization efforts currently underway aim to provide a simplified and digitized onboarding and bank account management experience to drive increased client satisfaction and reduce cycle times for onboarding requests.
This role will be focused on account opening onboarding experience in TTS, most particularly in this role by partnering on the development of new digital UI capabilities for our New to Bank (NTB) clients.
What Will You Do?
You will sit within the Digital Onboarding global product team, primarily focusing on enhancing the end-to-end Account Opening experience on behalf of Citi's Institutional clients. You will be responsible for leading the team's partnership with Commercial Banking group in the development and delivery of digital account opening capabilities for their clients and for New to Bank (NTB) clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Lead Onboarding engagement with Commerical Banking business in working to design, implement and rollout the new digital onboarding experience for their clients as well as TTS' New to Bank clients
- Help define product strategy and roadmap.
- Execute the Digital Onboarding Strategic Roadmap in a cross functional setting
- Gather, review, and prioritise product capability requests from external and internal stakeholders.
- Understand markets and users' experience through client feedback, surveys (Voice of client) and research
- Create client user journeys and drive application development with Technology partners
- Manage relationships with cross functional partners in support of the product roadmap, day-to-day management, etc.
- Clearly define Agile EPICs and prioritise based on product vision and roadmap.
- Support Product Owners with decomposing Agile EPICs into User Stories.
- Maintain an active feedback loop with external and internal stakeholders for Onboarding increments
- Conduct system demos and support our Sales, Client Relationship and Client On-Boarding Teams with collateral and training
- Understand the competitor landscape and where we are ahead or behind on our product feature set
- Defining, tracking, and reporting of your product's key performance indicators (KPI's)
- Own the resolution plan and delivery for any risks related to your product - data quality, regulatory, vulnerability, etc.
- Communicate program progress, risk and issues to senior management
- Act as key support for Account Opening Value Stream Team Leader
We are looking for someone that will be laser focused on client experience and can drive the onboarding experience forward in terms of innovative thinking, defining industry leading features and capabilities both for our external customers and the internal stakeholders who help support our products. Here are a few of the key attributes we will be looking for as part of the recruitment process:
- 8-10+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years' experience in the digital banking or payments space where you have either been involved in defining product requirements (e.g. product manager) or have in-depth knowledge of this space via working directly with these types of products (e.g. client on-boarding, servicing and support at a bank or a corporate).
- Excellent communication skills - ability to alter communications approach depending on your audience - level of seniority, technical acumen, internal vs. external, etc.
- Comfortable to chair senior dialogue in high-pressured environment and manage risk escalation appropriately within the organisation
- Ability to work and drive cross functional groups of stakeholders, countries, global and regional teams
- Design thinking- Successfully translate client journeys into business requirements and technical discussions
- Ability to think through user problems, find solutions that eliminates manual touch points for our clients
- Evidence-based decision making - ensuring that there is always logic to the decisions you make
- (Highly preferable) - experience of digitising and automating the client on-boarding journey for a product and introducing them to different geographies
- (Highly Preferable) - experience in Design Thinking and/or AGILE techniques to define Epics/Features and User Stories
- (Preferable) - a whizz at being able to tell a story via PowerPoint - visually and succinctly.
