What you'll do

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll prepare, analyse and provide reporting on all project plans, controls and resource plans, and make sure that the plans are in line with any wider programme plans and controls. You'll empower and lead a team through the project lifecycle, set team member objectives, and carry out regular individual assessments and formal appraisals.

You'll also handle financial budgets, lead project boards and balance demands of Change The Bank and Run the Bank delivery for new and existing platform features. Building and maintaining a positive working relationship with stakeholders across multiple franchises and functions and at difference levels, you'll manage multiple projects and indirectly manage third party vendors to ensure delivery across a portfolio of work.

Additionally, you'll:

  • Identify, track, manage and mitigate any project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Lead and define the production of a project initiation document and make sure that the solution clearly supports and is aligned to our strategic goals
  • Analyse the appropriate statements and prepare estimates for approval
  • Support the creation of a financial business case
  • Track and report project costs and make sure that the project is completed in allotted budgets
  • Make sure that all project deliverables satisfy the requirements and that they adhere to the agreed governance framework


The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with end-to-end Agile change management delivery experience, and an understanding of the client onboarding journey. You'll have a strong background in resource management, prioritisation and budgeting, along with experience of delivering project management in a technology or IT function.

In addition, you'll hold an appropriate project management qualification and have experience of delivering strategic projects that support a business strategy and its growth agenda. You'll be a very capable communicator with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to your peers and senior leadership teams. We'll also look for a collaborative approach and the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders, colleagues and senior managers.

You'll also demonstrate:

  • An understanding of Agile delivery and frameworks
  • Experience of applications for systems and delivery
  • An understanding of Jira and other project management tools
  • Knowledge of flexible working environments and strategies
  • Flexibility to travel across location as required
  • Strong organisation skills and astute attention to detail
