JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Responsible for preparation of the quarterly group consolidation for review by the Lead Financial Officer, Asset Management, within the quarter-end timetable.
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders within the Asset Management business.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations for transactional entities and JV/Associate partners.
  • To conduct first review of team monthly and quarterly management accounts, communicating issues to the businesses and finance team.
  • Assist with preparation of year-end information for external audit and to be the main point of contact with external auditors for queries on several entities.
  • To assist the Lead Financial Officer with preparation of the consolidated annual group budget.
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly Board papers for escalation to Group CFO and MD.
  • Assist in reviewing Group and company tax information prior to submission to our tax advisors. Dealing with queries as required and liaising with the tax advisors on a regular basis.
  • Assist with preparation and filing of statutory accounts for UK group entities including approval by the relevant directors and auditors in accordance with the timetable set by the Group MD.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of the Group FCA returns on a quarterly/bi-annual basis and preparation of Group ICAAP.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of the Group VAT returns on a quarterly basis.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Group recharges matrix which is being rolled out this year.
  • Assist with broader expansion projects (roll out of new ledger system, report standardisation, intercompany matrix and group cash flow).
  • Assist broader finance group with implementation and review of internal controls and enhancing procedures to improve efficiency and automation of current manual processes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
  • ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant - essential
  • Experience with preparing management accounts - essential
  • Proven multitasking experience, working with multiple tight Group Reporting deadlines.
  • Proven experience in the Financial Services Industry preferably in real estate or private equity.
  • Experience of multi-currency environment.
  • Experience in preparation of financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS & US GAAP.
  • SAGE package experience including production of reports and interrogation preferable.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office. Microsoft Excel (Essential).
  • Can do solutions-based approach to solving problems.
  • Strong commercial understanding of transactions.
  • Proven track-record with preparing management accounts.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Highly computer literate.
