As a Business Analyst within the Data Analytics team, you will be driving the development, adoption and support of data analytics capabilities for the Commodities and Global Markets division.

You will work closely with traders, desk analysts and central data teams to understand their data and analytics requirements, forming these into epics and stories and managing prioritisation and delivery. Your remit will include data analytic solutions, analytics automation and data ingestions from internal and external providers in a large-scale data environment. You will work closely with product management, data engineers, business analytics, data governance teams and external clients and suppliers

The ability to work productively in a fast-moving front office environment with a diverse range of stakeholders, with different contexts, seniorities, locations, and familiarity with data at scale is key. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be at ease writing stories and epics to a high standard. You will be familiar with agile development practises, and either be experienced in, or looking to develop, Agile management skills such as team liaison and running ceremonies.

At a technical level, familiarity with AWS services, SQL, python and technologies such as data catalogs (Alation), data visualisation (PowerBI, Spotfire) and data analytics platforms (Dataiku, Alteryx) would be advantageous, but more importantly is a desire to learn and develop.

Climate, energy market and natural resource data and analytics solutions are of particular importance. Therefore, experience or interest in this domain is valuable.
