Job Description

The Financial Risk Technology Team is responsible for delivering software solutions to Citi's Finance and Risk organizations which manages Citi's exposure to financial institutions, governments and corporates that trade with Citi. The team manages enhancements to systems used to compute metrics that help mitigate Citi's exposure including counterparty default.. The role is required to provide PM/BA skills to aid deliveries for large Regulatory Finance/Risk initiatives within the bank, including Program level governance

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the Risk and Markets Technology, Risk Management, Finance and Front Office business organizations, and external Market Regulators
  • Understanding of the functional aspects of projects, and documenting when required, based on Business Requirements, including engagement with technical leads on functional solutions.
  • Manage expectations of various stakeholder groups and help negotiate solutions to complex problems.
  • Project manage complex Counterparty Credit Risk projects end to end, also Market Risk aspects where required. Accurately record, maintain, and report Program/Project management tracking data such as milestones via Citi's internal project tracking systems.
  • Assemble/manage detailed documentation, to be used to discuss technology implementation details with the Business users.
  • Facilitate and drive project meetings with both business and technology teams.
  • Key contributor to large Regulatory initiatives undertaken within the firm.
  • Assess project risk potentials and discover potential problems before they occur.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit clear and concise activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports.
  • Apply a proactive approach in routinely tracking the project participant progress against project goals.
  • Ownership of management reports on a given engagement.
  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining, and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Extensive experience in Business Analysis and Project Management
  • Experience in Capital Markets domain a distinct advantage.
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) awareness including coverage of range of methodologies including Waterfall and Agile processes.
  • Understanding of the mechanics and life cycle of derivatives products, including Options, Futures, Forwards and Swaps also Securities Financing Transactions (SFT) products an advantage.
  • Understanding of the concepts of Counterparty Credit Risk or Market Risk highly beneficial including Basel III/IV, Credit Value Adjustment (CVA) and any other relevant Risk Regulations and measures.
  • Ability to understand complex System flows including their capabilities and limitations. When required represent flow and Application interactions diagrammatically. Risk Systems experience a distinct advantage.
  • Proven Ability to document requirements at Business and Functional level.
  • Extensive project management experience, including co-ordination across remote global teams.
  • Use of MS Office applications, MS Project, Jira and confluence preferable or other similar project tools.
  • Strong communication skills and time management, ability to navigate a complex environment, work with a large group of stakeholders and participate in decision making.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree an advantage.
  • Graduate in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or Finance disciplines.
  • FRM/CFA or other financial mathematics degree or certification is an advantage.
