The Role: Associate Regional Pricing Director, Metals - EMEA

The Team: The successful candidate will lead S&P Global Commodity Insights' metals pricing team based in London, responsible for the generation of price assessments, analysis and market-related news for the EMEA region, publishing benchmark assessments and market insight at a time of significant industry change. Responsibilities span Platts ferrous and non-ferrous metals benchmarks alongside a growing energy transition-aligned offering, from battery recycling to carbon-accounted steel and aluminum.

The Impact: The successful candidate will develop and deliver the vision for all aspects of metals pricing in the EMEA region, driving excellence while building and strengthening new and existing benchmarks that create customer value. The role also involves comprehensive engagement at senior levels with market participants and other key stakeholders such as exchanges, government agencies and media.

Responsibilities:

The Associate Regional Pricing Director, Metals - EMEA will be responsible for:
  • Defending and strengthening Platts' existing benchmark reputation and expanding its profile and footprint within the metals sector both regionally and globally
  • Leading and developing a dynamic team of market reporters
  • Serving externally as a subject matter and methodology expert
  • Collaborating across Commodity Insights and across S&P Global for maximum customer impact
What We're Looking For:

The preferred candidate possesses:
  • Significant experience in commodity market reporting/writing/analyzing , relevant business development experience also considered
  • Strong leadership ability demonstrated through previous management experience
  • Keen eye for identifying talent and nurturing development within and across teams
  • Proven communication and critical thinking skills which utilize influence and promote collaboration
  • Skilled at identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies
  • Advanced understanding of economics and risk management principles
  • Energy, tenacity and ambition to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep knowledge of global metals markets an advantage
