This is an excellent chance to focus on the due diligence of Alternative Investment funds and liaise regularly with fund managers and third-party service providers in a heavily communication focused position. You will work across multiple investment strategies and asset classes and in time develop to become an expert across the spectrum of alternative investment strategies. What the job involves
- Conduct operational due diligence meetings with key non-investment professionals (e.g., CFO, CCO, COO) at alternative investment fund managers
- Perform detailed reviews of relevant documentation
- Draft written research reports summarizing operational procedures and assessing potential business risks, including fraud, back-office sufficiency, and conflicts of interest
- Collaborate with ODD team members and other internal teams to discuss finding
- Communicate research findings to clients
- Analysts work with senior members of the team to synthesize findings from the due diligence process in order to identify potential operational risks (including fraud, ESG risks and conflicts of interest)
- Chartered Accountant preferable
- Financial Services (Investment Management, Private Equity, Real Estate) experience desirable
- Solid academic record
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to think analytically and critically
- Collaborative and enjoys working in a team
- Attention to detail and comfortable multi-tasking across multiple projects
