About our client

We are working with an established, well-regarded fund with a proven track record investing across the mid-market. They are looking to add an additional resource to support the portfolio. This position will work across all areas of value creation, particularly portfolio led transactions such as M&A. This is a high-profile position that will make a difference to portfolio companies' performance and returns, maintaining the firms market leading position. What the job involves

• Work closely with colleagues and management teams pre-and-post deal to put into place and execute value creation plans
• Help define and execute M&A strategies in the portfolio
• Assist on boards to help guide the companies
• Ad-hoc value creation projects across the portfolio

Who we are looking for

• High level of transactional experience and understanding - previous experience in managing relationships with multiple management teams is essential
• This individual is likely to have experience in a similar portfolio focussed or investment role, likely with previous training within corporate finance, transaction services, or an investment bank. Relevant experience in a consulting group or in industry (corporate development) may also be considered
• Ability to analyse and use data in drawing conclusions is essential - ACA qualified (or equivalent) would be preferred but is not essential
• Commercial application of knowledge of the growth industry, and a clear and demonstrable strategic mindset is essential
• Strong communication skills
• Strong academics and intellect
