Job Description
Team/Function Overview:
The primary objective of Global Market Risk is to establish a comprehensive and independent Market Risk framework, including development and management of a comprehensive market risk limit setting and monitoring capability, performance of the market risk aggregation and analysis, development of capabilities for robust stress testing analyses and the establishment and implementation of consistent policies, standards and procedures.
The Market Risk CAO collaborates with Risk Managers to help ensure adherence to market risk management processes; and works closely with Internal Audit, Risk Reporting and Data Analysis, Market Risk Analytics, Markets and Securities Services, and Finance within Citi to ensure timely remediation of issues and that proper controls are in place and evaluated regularly.
Role / Position Overview:
This role will primarily focus on the oversight and effective management of market risk issues arising from various sources, as well as, leading interactions with Internal Audit.
The role requires extensive coordination with Market Risk managers globally to obtain and report the status of issues, then independently formulate independent evaluation of status and escalate concerns to senior management in order to drive transparency and accountability. In addition, propose and draft self-identified issues as necessary.
The individual will be the primary liaison with Internal Audit. Prior to an audit, review relevant processes and documentation to self-identify gaps. During an audit, coordinate, track, and review requests, provide review and challenge of artifacts prior to submission, and finalize new Issue/CAP language and timelines. Subsequent to an audit, partner with issue owners to monitor progress, facilitate closure documentation, and ensure on time remediation.

This is a high-profile position which involves significant interaction with senior management and direct involvement in a variety of the critical strategic projects within Citi. - Strong understanding of the regulatory environment, the respective business lines and Risk governance
- Process improvement mindset to increase effectiveness and efficiency
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's degree in technical field; Master's degree a plus
