Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business and have significant impact across the lifecycle of a trade. We partner extensively with a range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with our external client base, playing a key role in the overall client experience. We have a Client relationship group, dedicated to overseeing the Organizational service performance and strategic partnership for our top tier client base, where we play a key role in supporting our global clients to ensure they have a first-class experience when doing business with Citi.

Our Business Intelligence and Process Re-engineering group works alongside our Operations teams delivering automation solutions to solve for operational challenges. We partner with Citi's innovation labs to drive optimization, and overall play a pivotal role in enabling us to transform to achieve our target operating model.

Our Technology partners develop and implement a wide range of applications that support the Operations, Change, Design and Implementation groups in providing innovative products and solutions. We have re-imagined how to provide technology and service in our domain through the alignment of our team vision, culture, and aggressive retirement plan for legacy applications and adoption of a micro-based containerized cloud environment. Job Purpose:
This role is within the securities lending middle office. This is a great opportunity to join a high performing & welcoming team, who directly interact with over 60 global clients and support our trading desk across 3 key regions (Europe, Asian and the United States).

The analyst will be responsible for the reconciliation of stock borrows & loans in accordance with Citi's credit requirements to prevent any monthly billing issues and meet our regulatory requirements.
This is a high profile global team with exposure to large volumes of trades and high value items. The role involves daily engagement with clients, internal stakeholders and 3rd party vendors to reconcile exception items and identify/resolve root cause.
The successful candidate will receive supportive training and a personal development plan to help them succeed within this role and develop their career at Citi.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Single point of contact for up to 30 clients on a daily basis, running daily exposure reports and providing cash, non-cash (equities & bonds) or Triparty collateral cover.
  • Monitor settlements closely so able to project collateral requirements and substitute collateral as requested
  • Ensure client profile, stock and cash payment instructions are up to date
  • Regular communication with Clients and trading Desk, with focus on Client Service, covering all stock borrow/loan issues.
  • Review cash / portfolio / collateral reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as appropriate, including pricing.
  • Enhance our client experience by identifying process improvements to increase the automation of daily processes.
  • Perform daily reconciliation via Pirum / Equilend, to preventing exposure and billing differences
  • Complete Billing reconciliations for clients where differences have been identified.
  • Complete end of day checks against a daily exposure reports in line with our audit requirements
  • Monitor collateral & substitutions prior to any corporate action record dates to ensure no financial loss to Citi
  • Publication of MIS where required
