As a Barclays Data Execution Analyst, you will be responsible for the execution of data lineage, documentation of appropriate data quality controls, analysis/remediation support of data quality issues and assessment of authoritative data sources, to conform to the requirements of the Group Data Management Policy & Standards. Your engagement will include working alongside Application Owners, CIO Technology and business SMEs to ensure accurate and complete representation of the flow of critical data.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
• Capturing and documenting subject matter knowledge about how data flows operate
• Investigating and analyzing of data to understand the availability, meaning and suitability of data
• Maintaining and enhancing data lineage and related information in CDO mandated tools
• Supporting on data lineage interlock with other CDO BUs/Functions
• Analyzing and documenting relevant business processes, finding opportunities to streamline activities
• Ensuring adherence to Group Data Management Standards, Attestation and Re-certification

What we're looking for:
• Proven financial Services experience
• Excellent analytical and literacy ability
• Broad working knowledge and understanding of governance frameworks, standards and policies
• Comprehensive knowledge & understanding of using data analysis & reporting / visualisation packages e.g. SQL, Tableau, Qlik

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Familiarity with a component of Data Management e.g., Data Quality, Data Lineage, Metadata management and the like
• Understanding of and proven experience in business and data analysis within a complex end-to-end architecture
• Broad experience in data and operating model process re-engineering and ownership
• Proven Corporate or Investment banking experience in a Risk and Controls or issue resolution environment

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
