Join the Macquarie Market Data team responsible for the end-to-end procurement and management of Market Data across Macquarie.

Based in London, you will be part of our fast pace global Market Data team of which the Business Analysts are the supplier managers for all market data services.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Sourcing of Market Data with knowledge of market data purchasing practices and processes
  • Negotiate low to medium value contracts across various products both for buyside and sellside requirements.
  • Process contract renewals and new contracts
  • Ensure business adherence to license terms and governance oversight
  • Meeting Internal stakeholder demand on Market Data whilst coordinating with external suppliers to meet these needs
  • Present analysis and cost proposals to business leads for their buy in with onboarding services
  • Support ongoing compliance/audit reviews with Suppliers and Exchanges including, coordinating with stakeholders globally to fully understand data consumption and use cases across various businesses.
  • Act as SME and trusted advisor to stakeholders within the business on Market Data compliance and requirements
  • Identify and drive strategies to ensure contractual compliance is achieved across key Suppliers and Exchanges
  • Communicate and present audit outcomes with key stakeholders
  • Adopt and implement best practises relating to external across all suppliers and exchanges.
  • Establish a transparent plan to monitor usage, application inventory management, data flow for all services and work with stakeholders to put correct measures in place
  • Responsible for negotiating and renewing contracts to support business needs
  • Supporting the delivery of key projects, identifying opportunities for transformation and improvement, and delivering value across a range of initiatives

Skills
  • Good market data analysis background with a min of 2years + experience and knowledge of wide range of market data Suppliers and assets
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work with various business groups
  • Good understanding of commercial terms and conditions, restrictions and licensing policies of the major market data Suppliers
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal for discussions and communication at all levels
  • Comfortable with presenting achievements and analysis to any audience
  • Ability to renew contracts in a timely manner to avoid service disruptions
  • Highly self-motivated to drive and own initiatives from start to finish with excellent people skills
  • Detail orientated - ability to review a contract in the context of the actual requirements
  • Sound knowledge of general legal terms/clauses
  • Excellent administration and organisation skills
  • Identify areas of improvements and support cost saving/ other MD related project initiatives

Competencies
  • Commercial - Basic knowledge in key commercial terms used in Market Data contracts
  • Negotiation - basic techniques
  • Relationship Management - Understanding our stakeholder's Relationship Management requirements
  • Understands main MDS platform preferably FITS
  • Understanding of basic vendor products and services
  • Coordinating with MD Global team and across division licensing/ contracts
  • Understanding of various business lines i.e. Sellside and Buyside
  • Complexities of system dependencies and appropriate licensing associated with servicing various business areas.
  • Ensure database integrity for all contracts / renewal costs and tracking accuracy
  • Follow operational guides and adhere to Supplier risk management procedures

You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record/ experience of basic business analysis skills, and the ability to interpret and define business requirements. You will have strong analytical and reporting skills coupled with excellent interpersonal skills to form strong internal relationships. Close attention to detail, ability to manage work load and cope under pressure, coupled with a good understanding of financial market operations across front, middle and back office is essential.

You must have investment banking product knowledge span across Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Commodities, Funds and Indices.
